Frederick Bernas worked with with the Refik Anadol Studio on a major expedition to rainforests in Australia and Indonesia, carrying out visual data collection and filming documentary footage (including drone) of multiple teams in dense jungle environments.
The material will be incorporated into the Large Nature Model – a groundbreaking open source project based at Dataland, the world’s first museum of AI arts. It has also been showcased at institutions including the Serpentine in London.
The Large Nature Model brings together disparate archives of natural data into a coherent, interactive model that serves as both a repository of knowledge and a powerful tool for environmental education and advocacy.
